ERGODIC
Meet Our Team
Venkat Swaminathan
Venkat Swaminathan conceived of the scalable persona system while still attending Stanford University with Deepak Bhatia. Swaminathan combined business acumen and technical know-how to raise the venture capital required to start Ergodic as a business. Our early success was catapulted into market dominance with his perfection of continuous learning, which allows all of our AI products to incorporate new knowledge without forgetting old knowledge that’s still relevant. Swaminathan brings both software and hardware expertise together to advance Ergodic’s technology with partnerships such as our longstanding relationship with Eigenvalue Optical Logic. Venkat lives in San Francisco with his wife and two sons.
Deepak Bhatia
Deepak Bhatia attended Stanford with Venkat Swaminathan, attaining a B.S. in Artificial Intelligence before becoming a founding member of Ergodic Software. Under Deepak’s leadership, the persona system and business products have achieved unrivaled scale and reliability, enabling Ergodic to lead in multiple industries. On those rare times when Deepak isn’t working, he enjoys cooking classes and sampling different types of international cuisine.
Nathan Grant
Nathan Grant received his B.A. in English and his MFA in Branding from the University of Miami. He worked for a series of startup companies before landing at Ergodic to lead our entry into the logistics market. When not at work, Nathan enjoys spending time with his partner Harry and their huskies Dasher and Dancer, and working on that long-overdue novel.
Connor Fitzpatrick
Connor Fitzpatrick earned his B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from UCLA and his MBA from the University of Chicago. Fitzpatrick has overseen Egodic’s growth for the past eight years, during which time the number of data centers the company operates rose from 25 to over 60. In his spare time, Connor and his longtime girlfriend, Susan, enjoy horror movies and extreme escape rooms.
LeeAnne Yang
LeeAnne Yang received her B.S. in Comparative Literature from the University of Indiana and her J.D. from Cornell. After a stint in the financial industry, Yang joined Ergodic in the General Counsel role where she focuses on finance, M&A, and optimization of litigation and liability. When she can get away from work, LeeAnne enjoys visiting the sanctuary she sponsors in Sonoma County for California’s endangered small mammals.
Francine Harcourt
Francine Harcourt earned her PhD in Artificial Intelligence from UC Berkeley, did a three-year post doc at CMU, followed by six years building AI at another company before she joined Ergodic Software. As the company’s legislatively mandated alignment officer, Harcourt is responsible for ensuring Ergodic’s AI remains safe and aligned to human goals. In her personal time, Francine enjoys playing minor dramatic roles in community theater. Most recently, she played the role of Emilia in the Berkeley Shakespeare Collective’s production of “Othello”.
